Newport Integrative is an Orange County integrative medicine practice specializing in precision treatment for Lyme disease, chronic infections, and complex conditions. We are clinicians — and, in some cases, patients who have lived through the illness ourselves — united by the conviction that the next generation of treatment must be as precise as the pathogen is elusive.

Amy Habing, NP
Nurse Practitioner · Infectious Disease
Amy Habing, a Lyme literate nurse practitioner, discovered her passion for medicine as a Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy, where she first learned to manage critical, high-stakes cases under pressure. After nursing school, she carried that instinct into the ER, telemetry, and med/surg units — treating critically ill patients and learning to read the whole-body picture behind complex presentations. It was there, at the bedside, that she began noticing a pattern: the standard tests she relied on to guide care kept coming back with a name for the disease but no real answer about its cause. That gap — between diagnosis and true explanation — became the question that has driven her practice ever since. Her own battle with Lyme disease changed the course of her career. Years of misdiagnosis before she finally found answers and recovered gave her a firsthand understanding of how easily this infection is missed — and what it actually takes to treat it. That experience is what led her to become a Nurse Practitioner. Today, Amy specializes in infectious disease, with a particular focus on Lyme disease, coinfections, and complex chronic illness. She brings both clinical rigor and lived understanding to every patient she treats at Newport Integrative — she's not just treating a diagnosis; she knows what it's like to be searching for one.
Lino DeGuzman, M.D.
Gastroenterology & Hepatology
Dr. Lino DeGuzman is a gastroenterologist and hepatologist practicing in Newport Beach, California. He provides general gastroenterology and hepatology care as well as advanced endoscopy, with a focus on pancreaticobiliary disorders, ablation of Barrett’s esophagus via the BARRX procedure, revision of gastric bypass using Overstitch, and endoscopic mucosal resection of large polyps. He also has expertise in the management of inflammatory bowel disease, including ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. Dr. DeGuzman is affiliated with Hoag Presbyterian Medical Center in Newport Beach and Irvine, and Loma Linda University Medical Center.
